Carol Cooper, Market Innovation Managing Director, King County Metro
Presenter Biographical Statement
Carol Cooper is Managing Director of the Market Innovations section of King County Metro Transit. Her team enhances mobility for all King County residents by developing new products and services that expand the reach of traditional transit. Carol values an open mind, questioning the status quo and honest collaboration, and believes that sustainable mobility is key to individual and our collective health and happiness. The team paints with a broad brush, including driving demand for transportation options through outreach, partnerships and pricing, developing on-demand feeder services to Metro’s fixed route network, and implementing parking management and other strategies to maximize people’s access to mobility. Carol has her Masters in Regional Planning from University of Arizona, and her Bachelors in Environmental Planning from Rutgers University.
Presentation Abstract
This workshop will highlight various microtransit models across diverse geographic settings. Presenters will share lessons learned and considerations for implementing a microtransit services. There will be an opportunity for small group discussion and dialogue about how microtransit service can align with a range of mobility and transit services across an agency.
